The flowers are budding, chocolate is on sale from Valentine’s Day, and we don’t have to stress over buying gifts for some major holiday. St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th)
St. Patrick’s Day began in 1631 to honor the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. Over the centuries, the holiday has evolved into a celebration of parades, dancing and beer.
But, where did the leprechauns come in? Well, they hide a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for a mortal to find, of course. (Gold = wealth = luck!) Rainbows are also lucky due to their magical depictions. Whether you have a beer or wear a ton of green, don’t forget to search for that pot of gold! (You never know!)
Goof Off Day (March 22nd)
As if we needed a reason to goof off…
Founded in 1976 by Monica Dufour, Goof Off Day was meant to add an extra sprinkle of fun to your day. It’s good to take a break every once in a while, especially after everything the world has been through in the past couple of years!
There are so many silly things that you could do to celebrate the day: draw a funny picture, write a funny poem, or wear mix-matched socks. Tell your boss you can’t make it to work because you’ll be too busy observing this international holiday by taking a much-needed day off!
Make Up Your Own Holiday Day (March 26th)
Sure, holidays are fun. Birthdays are grand. But, what if we could make up our own holiday? Now, that would be swell!
Make Up Your Own Holiday Day encourages children and adults alike to come up with a creative or quirky thing to celebrate! Celebrate your favorite food, movie or book! Grab your friends and make a day out of it with themed treats and games!

World Theater Day (March 27th)
We couldn’t be more excited that theater has finally opened again. There’s just something so special about being in the audience during a live performance – the energy is intoxicating!
World Theater Day originated in 1962. Theater professionals and lovers all over the world still celebrate the momentous day. Theater is such an important form of art, and it’s a day to remind the world how important it is as a form of entertainment. Celebrate someone in a show by congratulating them on a job well done!
